Crash With Fuel Spill Closes Route 23 In Morris County

A crash caused a fuel spill and detoured Route 23 in Morris County, shutting down the highway and causing delays for rush hour commuters on Tuesday morning, Nov. 14.

The crash occurred on the southbound side at CR 511A/Boulevard in Pompton Plains around 7:30 a.m., according to 511NJ and local police.

All lanes were closed and detoured, the NJDOT said around 8:05 a.m.:
